Thelight-house.net (“thelight-house magazine”) is dedicated to respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We expect our users to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures regarding alleged copyright infringement and how we address it in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content published on thelight-house.net infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Takedown Notice. We will investigate valid claims promptly. This includes articles, images, or other materials related to canyons, hills, islands, towns, or waves.

Required Elements of a DMCA Takedown Notice

To be effective, your DMCA Takedown Notice must include the following information. Failure to provide all required details may delay or prevent action on your complaint. Please send your notice to our designated DMCA Agent.

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. Include multiple works if they are covered by a single notification.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access disabled. Provide information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (e.g., a specific URL).
  • Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Counter-Notification Process

If your content was removed or access disabled due to a DMCA Takedown Notice, and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. We will forward your counter-notification to the original claimant. The material may be reinstated within 10-14 business days unless the claimant files a court action.

Required Elements of a Counter-Notification

  • A physical or electronic signature of the subscriber.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled. Provide the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the subscriber has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.
  • The subscriber’s name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that the subscriber consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located. If the subscriber’s address is outside of the United States, the subscriber consents to any judicial district in which the service provider may be found. The subscriber must also accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA Takedown Notice or an agent of such person.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Thelight-house.net maintains a strict policy regarding repeat infringers. We will terminate access to our services for users who are found to repeatedly infringe copyright. This includes repeated instances of uploading or publishing infringing material related to our areas of interest, such as geographical features or town stories.

We reserve the right to remove content at any time, with or without prior notice, if it infringes the intellectual property rights of others. This policy helps protect the creative works shared across our platform.
